It brings me immense joy to share with you the exciting news about our Community Building, a hub of celebration and connection that's ready to host your special events. Whether you're planning a public gathering that celebrates our shared community or a private affair that's close to your heart, the Community Building stands as a testament to our unity and collective spirit.

For those interested in hosting public events that aren't directly organized by the City, we've established a simple and fair process. A security deposit of $50 is required to secure and reserve the building for your event. This deposit is essential to ensure that we can adequately prepare for your event and allocate the necessary resources. Following a thorough inspection after your event, provided that no damage repairs or extensive cleaning are needed, the $50 security deposit will be promptly returned to you, helping us maintain the facility.

You are required to clean the area, pick up all trash, and place the trash in cans. You will need to have all tables and chairs placed back in the area that you find them. No inflatables or rough games are allowed inside.

Our city takes pride in catering to both residents and friends from outside our city limits who seek to host private events. To accommodate your needs, we offer several rental rate options:

  • City of Dyer residents not utilizing the kitchen area: $75
  • City of Dyer residents utilizing the kitchen area: $100
  • Non-residents not utilizing the kitchen area: $200
  • Non-residents utilizing the kitchen area: $225

Furthermore, for our City of Dyer residents organizing public events, we have an exciting offer. Public events organized by City residents will be free of charge (excluding the security deposit). However, the event organizer must meet specific conditions:

  1. The event organizer must be a resident of the City of Dyer.
  2. The event organizer is still required to pay the security deposit as described in the previous information.
  3. Events must be open to the public without exclusions and advertised as such.
  4. The kitchen area is available upon request at the time of reservation only.

I'd like to emphasize that, in the unfortunate event of a cancellation, the $50 security deposit is non-refundable, as this deposit is essential for proper planning and preparation.
